The Supreme Court has directed Nepal Army (NA) headquarters to furnish personal details showing date of birth of Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Rookmangud Katawal, on Wednesday.
A division bench of Justices Damodar Prasad Sharma and Rajendra Prasad Koirala, which had earlier said it would issue its judgment Wednesday, issued such order postponing the final hearing on the case once again.
A case about army chief Katawal’s age is pending at SC since last two and a half years. Katawal has only a few months before he completes his tenure. A writ was filed more than two years ago accusing Katawal of forging documents about his age to get an extension of service term
