Gajurel sees possibility of people's revolt

Maoist secretary C.P Gajurel has said that the recent political developments have provided fertile grounds for peoples' revolt in the country.

Speaking to media persons in Sindhuli on Saturday, Gajurel claimed that it was due to the current coalition government that such environment is being created.

Stating that his is the only party working for people's interest, Gajurel said that the country may slide into conflict due to the government's apathy to resolve the current deadlock. He also blamed the government for compelling his party to go into confrontation.

He said possible political confrontation and conflict can be avoided only if other parties agree to his party's demand for 'civilian supremacy' and accused Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) of plotting to dissolve the Constituent Assembly with support from India and the United States.

Gajurel said the recent Kailali incident was carried out as directly ordered by home minister Bhim Rawal and Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal
